Who We Are
The UT Solar Decathlon program is an interdisciplinary team of students, faculty and industry partners are dedicated to the design, construction, testing and public demonstration of market-ready dwellings that integrate human, natural and technological systems, are adaptable by design, and entirely powered by the sun.
What We Believe
The sun is natural, free, and available to everyone, with no by-products. Nobody has to fight wars for sunlight – it’s something the whole world shares, and it’s not running out any time soon. We choose solar as our clean, quiet champion. We choose to work with the environment instead of against it, choose to use less, and do more.The world does change, and we want it to be for the better. We choose to make that change, to LIVE LIFE in better balance under the Texas sun.
